The space....
The house has 4 bedrooms, 2 with king beds and 2 with queen beds. Both the king beds can be split into singles. (You will need to let us know if you need the beds made into singles)
The upstairs bedroom also has an oversized king single bunk bed which will sleep 2-3 children. Kids LOVE this bunk.
All beds are dressed in pure flax linens, towels supplied and good quality and professionally laundered.
There are 3 luxurious bathrooms, all with top quality fittings, monsoon rain shower heads, heated towel rails, master bedroom with ensuite and smart TV.
The large kitchen and separate butlers pantry are full equipped for small groups with everything you will need to cook the finest of meals. The pantry is well stocked with staples including oils, vinegars, condiments, dry spices, and non perishables such as flour, sugar, tea, coffee, as well as tinfoil plastic wrap, baking paper etc. Tea towels provided. All kitchen cleaning products provided.
2 ovens, 2 side by side dishwasher drawers, electric cooking, bar fridge, pod coffee machine and essential appliances. The butlers pantry is a complete preparation zone leaving the expansive kitchen for interactive dining and entertaining. The only thing it doesn’t have is the Butler!!
There are 2 living zones, both with smart TV/DVD, access to Netflix, unlimited wifi, wood fires, as well as a state of the art hydronic heating system throughout. The heating is thermostatically programmed to provide the ultimate in warmth and comfort at all times. The main living area is air conditioned and 3 bedrooms have ceiling fans.

Whitelodge offers many sociable spaces. The front deck is beautiful for breakfast in the sun watching the birds. The outdoor BBQ area for alfresco dining and kitchen grotto and pizza oven for serious entertaining. The roof top viewing deck puts you high amongst the treetops and is a spectacular place for evening drinks and to experience the amazing ‘ forest shutdown’ at dusk.
The grassy terrace enjoys dappled shade, views of the waterfall which features 2 ponds and is a lovely place to set up an outdoor table or a deckchair and a book. Pathways meander throughout the terraced garden and there are many beautiful places for reflection, rest, inspiration and creativity. The gardens light up at night and provide an awesome backdrop from every room within.
Guest Access
There is parking for 2 cars in the driveway and a large flat parking space out the front for up to 2 cars.
Other things to note
Whitelodge is professionally cleaned with eco friendly products and where possible cleaning products supplies are organic. This not only protects our environment but keeps the septic system and tank water clean.
You will need insect repellents in spring and summer, it’s a forest!
The wood fired pizza oven requires an experienced operator so we do not allow guests to use the oven, sorry.
A professional in house chef can be recommended for ANY of your bespoke catering requirements. He will come to the house, prepare, cook, serve and clean up so you don’t need to leave the house or drive. Comparable to restaurant prices, this is a great option for a special occasion either indoors or in the garden. Just ask and we will put you in touch with chef Mark to discuss your requirements and give you a quote. As a price guide expect around $125pp for a 3 course dinner.
Taxis and Uber’s are getting better but not the most reliable. Booking ahead is advised. There are local buses and Belgrave train station is the nearest to get you to and from melbourne. The station is approx 5 kms from the house.

STRICT NOISE POLICY
CCTV complies with all privacy regulations
NO noise after 10pm as you are in very quiet surroundings, noise travels particularly if you are outside and our neighbors will not tolerate it. Complaints will be directed to police, House occupancy may be terminated without refund.
If you cannot agree to this policy, please don’t book our house.
Extra visitors to the house are NOT permitted without permission from the owner.
Your cleaning fee covers all professional cleaning, linen and laundry costs. It does NOT cover any extraordinary cleaning such as BBQ/ovens, stain removal from furniture, bedding, carpets or rugs, dirty dishes, moving furniture, extra rubbish removal etc. Guests will be charged for any extraordinary cleaning required at $50 ph minimum.

Your host will be there if you need him and is contactable at any reasonable time.
