River Rock Cottages are in the centre of the increasing popular yet tranquil Jamieson township, situated in the heart of Victorias legendary High Country, a short 25 minute drive south of Mansfield, at the gateway to Mount Bullers snowfields. River Rock Cottages consist of 3 newly built, fully self-contained cottages in Jamieson township set amonst the mountains. The Cottages can accommodate up to 4-5 people each and are perfect for a romantic couples getaway, or a family getaway in comfort. They two bedrooms containing one queen and two singles. Each unit comes equipped with all laundry and kitchen facilities and each unit has own private rear yard and bbq. Situated right in town and on the doorstep with only a short stroll to the delightful Jamieson and Goulburn rivers, the cottages are close to all of Jamiesons many attractions including Lake Eildon, the Local Cafe, Jamieson Brewery, Historical Kevington Hotel and the Courthouse Hotel, General Store, Tennis Courts, Churches, Wineries, Historical Society and self guided historical walk along with the renowned Jamieson River Walk. Or you can take it easy and spend the day by the Jamieson river where you may try your hand at fishing for trout, take a refreshing swim, enjoy a BBQ or simply relax to the gentle sounds of the river. Or FINALLY, after 18 years, Lake Eildon shows off its beauty and awaits your company. You may launch your boat at Jamieson itself, and enjoy whatever water sport your heart desires. Jamieson, is where the Jamieson and Goulburn Rivers combine and flow into Lake Eildon. Once a thriving gold mining town, is now a quiet country getaway, renowned now for its beautiful gardens and mountain surrounds, relaxed atmosphere and outdoor recreation. The Cottages Each Cottage has been beautifully & elegantly furnished with the finest linen and decor. All are fully self-contained, with 2 bedrooms, full laundry, front balcony and private backyard. The Cottages have reverse cycle heating/air conditioning all year round and cosy, slow burning wood fires for the colder nights. Each Cottages sleeps 4 (QS bed and 2 singles). Quality towels and fresh linen are provided. There is a spacious bathroom (with hairdryer) and separate laundry in each cottage as well as ironing facilities. Full kitchen facilities are standard in all Cottages - a 4 burner stove, oven, microwave and full size fridge. Lounge/dining facilities come with TV/DVD/CD players. Each Cottage also has its own protected balcony and BBQ facilities for outdoor dining if preferred. There is undercover car parking, on site, next to each cottage. Group booking up to 14 people welcome, please enquire regarding requiring more than one cottage. Attractions Bushwalking, Mt Buller Snowfields, 4WD tracks, Swimming and Fishing in the Jamieson River, Goulburn River and Lake Eildon including Boating and all Water Activities, Bikeriding, Wineries, Historic Kevington Hotel and area, Woodspoint, Jamieson Brewery, Local Court House Hotel, Local Cafe, Jamieson Berry Farm, Hot Air Ballooning, Mansfield Zoo, Horse Riding and Mansfield Markets. Jamieson provides a bike track situated at the Island, Historical Society and the self Historical Walk around town.
