Positive: The price for what you get is excellent. You really need a car here to be able to explore. There is no bus service and taxis are a set price and very expensive. Its a 30 minute walk into Marigot with many restaurants, but there are also great options nearby. It'a .25 mile walk to a gas station, small grocery store where you can buy beer, wine, and snacks. Siesta time is very real here so food is hard to find during certain afternoon hours. You are on the lagoon in a beautiful area, but not on the beach. That is a 25 minute or so walk away to a beautiful beach, but it has no bar or services, so you must bring your own cooler. The pool was great and the room was all we needed. We loved the views and the price. I do wish we had rented a car. My only suggestion would be pool towels/beach towels and a more comfortable bed. My back was in a real bind after a few days here. Overall great value and would return
