Positive: This was a stay that exemplified the "Accueil" of people in this region of southern France in particular. Accueill is more than just " Welcome"- there isn't really a full translation in English, but Viviane was the personification of this approach. You are staying in Viviane's home, and it is an excellent oportunity to speak with her as you enjoy a breakfast on the terrace, overlooking the stunning views from her house on the hill. This is not a typical hotel stay-you are a guest in Viviane's home, and as such, this was a unique opportunity to enjoy intelligent discourse and mutual respect from an intelligent and articulate person. Eggs are fresh, and a rare blue, from her neighbours garden, and the whole breakfast was healthy and organic- and the fig liquer was an aromatic treat. From the evening before, not for breakfast ! Also Viviane was most helpful when I left my glasses there and was readily contactable whilst I arrangedmy return. Accueil is a way of life- my experience of hospitality and generosity in that area of France has been a stand out aspect of my holiday. I recommend a stay at Viviane's- it is indeed a Petit Paradise!

Negative: I arrived on Sunday, and on foot-on Sunday many cafes and restaurants are closed in Premian. If you arrive by car you will find somewhere in Olargues of St Mons- ot hitchhike if not! The l'autostop is very easy, and also a part of the way of life as public transport is infrequent. I saw this as another example of accueill- people help each other out.
