North Fork Wine Tour from Manhattan with Lunch

Visit Long Island’s idyllic North Fork wine region on this day trip from Manhattan. family-owned and operated winery that features exceptional wines, many estate-bottled. Enjoy a flight, with your
choice of award-winning varietals like chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon, pinot noir, riesling or zinfandel. Martha Clara Vineyards and Ospreyís Dominion Vineyards former potato farm turned thoroughbred horse farm before its final
transformation into 100 acres (40 hectares) of vines, Martha Clara Vineyards has come a
long way since its beginnings. Taste sustainably
grown varietals and a broad range of wines for all types of palates. After
lunch, youíre taken to Ospreyís Dominion Vineyards. Learn about the complexity of the terroir
and how it contributes to the quality and character of the grapes as you
sample award-winning wines in the tasting room. Keep an eye out for the
namesake raptor soaring above the vineyard. Raphael Vineyards and Macari VineyardsAt Raphael Vineyards, sample its
ripe, fruit-driven wines that exhibit depth, elegance and balance.
Designed by owner John Petrocelli after the Italian monasteries of his
ancestral home, the winery blends classic Mediterranean architecture
with modern winemaking equipment in its production facility. Following
lunch, head to Macari Vineyards, a 500-acre (202-hectare) waterfront
estate in Mattituck. This family-owned winery on former
potato fields produces wine using biodynamic methods. While you enjoy your tasting, spot farm animals and look for birds like blue herons, red-tailed hawks, ospreys and eagles.
