Napa Valley’s Premier Food Tour
Gourmet guided food tour of the Napa Valley by a food-obsessed local. Tours are limited to 8 people to insure an intimate experience and include a farm-to-table lunch with wine.Meet your guide at a local historic bakery to sample their famous English muffins with local jams and honey. Then, it’s off to downtown Napa for a comprehensive extra virgin olive oil tasting. After your tasting, you’ll visit the interesting Rancho Gordo store for a presentation on indigenous foods of the Americas. Head “Up Valley” for an artisan cheese and craft beer pairing at the oldest grocery store in California, established in 1881. Next, grub on a farm-to-table style lunch at Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch while sampling a variety of delicious wine. Make sure to save room for a visit to a world class chocolatier in St. Helena.After you fill up on chocolate, explore the west coast campus of The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone. At this point, we will head south to the charming hamlet of Yountville for a visit to The Hill Family Secret Garden where the famed French Laundry Restaurant sources many of it’s produce. Return to Oxbow Public Market in Napa around 4:30pm where you can meander around many of the interesting vendors at the market. Your guide will cover local history, landmarks and background of this beautiful, agricultural based area. We travel by van equipped with a cooler, phone charger and bottled water. Clients recieve a sturdy reusable shopping bag to use during and after the tour. All samples, tastes and lunch are included in the price.
